"All children must learn times tables"

That's the blaring headline from The Sunday Times today, reporting an interview with Nicky Morgan, the Education Secretary (and reported at the BBC). She said: "We will expect every pupil by the age of 11 to know their times tables off by heart, to perform long division and complex multiplication and to be able to read a novel." (although Ms Morgan does "have form"!)

At Flurrish we understand the power of practise - spaced repetition, little and often, repeat to remember - call it what you will, but a 10 minute starter at the beginning of every day will for a class of 25 will generate ~200,00 answers over the year and this led to 65% of last year's Year 2 class at Caddington Village School knowing all their times tables. Achieve a similar result for your school!
